We had a great Harmony Day which started with a short School Meeting where students, parents and staff shared countries of origin by continents (including Australia). This was linked to the map of the world on display in the school Atrium. We then had the debut performance of the Chrysalis Singing club, singing a Harmony Day song, followed by the Australian National Anthem.
Our multicultural Harmony Day luncheon was a magnificent spread of wholesome dishes from around the world which managed to feed the starving horde and still have some leftovers.
The Chrysalis community is a very diverse one. We come from all over the world, including indigenous Australia, and speak many languages. Harmony Day reminds us on how the world can come together as one.
