learning together - growing together

Staff

The teachers at Chrysalis see themselves as a team in which various and diverse skills and talents are able to connect. This is particularly so in the speciality programs offered to supplement the Montessori curriculum, where teachers can explore their particular areas of interest. Through open communication, the continual willingness to learn and respect for children and each other, the teachers are constantly aware of the importance of their roles as models for the children.

TEACHING STAFF
The school has six full time classroom teachers, and in addition has a French teacher, a Music teacher, a Curriculum Coordinator, a Support Teacher and four Teacher's Assistants.

ADMINISTRATION STAFF
Chrysalis has one part time Bursar and one full time Administration Assistant. Administration looks after the school's day-to-day business and administrative requirements.

All of our Administrative personnel are available to assist parents and answer queries regarding the operation of the School. The school office is open from 8.45 am to 4.15 pm each school day.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT
It is important that the teachers at Chrysalis are continually developing their teaching skills and perspectives and that they are always open to integrating new ideas into their teaching programme. The staff participate in both school and staff development days at the beginning of each term and in addition to this, individual teachers attend Montessori and other related courses according to individual and school needs.

Each of the teachers at Chrysalis is strongly committed to their own personal development in a holistic sense, and consequently the children are educated in a rich and healthy environment in which their own development is respected and nurtured.

Staff engage in eight Professional Development and Planning days each year as a team. The school is pupil free on these days.
