Administration / Accounts Assistant

Position Title:    Administration / Accounts Assistant (0.4 FTE)
Reporting Structure:    Reporting to the Principal and Bursar/Registrar

Statement of Duties:
Performs duties and maintains a positive welcome environment that embodies the spirit of Chrysalis Montessori School.  Ensures effective communication among community members – staff, students, parents and external parties – while providing significant administrative support to the Principal and Bursar.


DUTY STATEMENT

Communication


-    maintains a positive welcoming environment to reflect school values
-    uses effective communication in all aspects of the role
-    works independently obtaining guidance as required
-    participates as an effective team member for completing required tasks

Bursar/Administration Support

-    provides general administrative support
-    competent computing skills with experience in the standard range of desktop applications
-    considerable experience in bookkeeping/payroll, efficient and accurate data entry for accounts with an understanding of accounting principals, ability to perform bank reconciliations  
-    creates and maintains databases
-    receipting, petty cash and banking of monies
-    information backup and storage overseeing
-    general filing and management of record keeping systems
-    photocopying
-    archiving – year end accounts and reports.

Any other duties as directed.
